2nd day – Edmonds to Port Townsend
Today we basically motored and motor-sailed up to Port Towsend. No wind, thick thick fog. Saw a couple of grey whales and a few porpoise in the distance. The tide (current) was against us all day. We tried hailing Port Townsend Marina on ch 68 but we got no response. I figured it was because a large headland broke our “line-of-sight” and true enough, a few minutes later it was as clear as a bell.
Slip A69 was an easy tie-up after which we walked what seemed about 8kms to find supper. Pretty strange how the locals dont seem to have a clue about good restaurants that serve local simple food. We finally stumbled across Muskan on Washington Street, a great east indian establishment! Yummie curry!
Tomorrow we sail across the strait and home to Victoria!
